POCONO, PA WATERFALL, FALL FOLIAGE WEEKEND 

Have you ever wondered how to create a silky-smooth effect in your waterfall photography? How does Pamela make people look like ghosts in the trick photography pictures? That is what you learn during the Pocono, Pennsylvania Waterfall Weekend. We will concentrate on long-exposure photography and trick photograph as we travel to several waterfalls in the Pocono Mountains area. This class is designed for beginners to advanced professionals.

MILKY WAY, NIGHT & TRICK PHOTOGRAPHY LESSONS

Weather permitting, we will focus on Milky Way Photography at night, light painting, and trick photography, including alien photography.

If it rains during the day, we will go skydiving and ziplining in the rain… NOT… we are kidding.

This is a rain-or-shine event. If we encounter bad weather, we will have photography sessions outdoors under cover at night, teach light painting and alien photography, and provide photography lessons. Yes, alien photography, that part is not a joke. See our alien photography article here.

Anyone with a DSLR or mirrorless camera and a tripod can accomplish all of these tasks, regardless of their experience, with our guidance. Even a brand-new beginner can do it.

We’ll be gallivanting to various spots during daylight hours, and don’t worry—we’ve got you covered, literally. We’ll provide links for a rain sleeve, a photography umbrella, and maybe even an emergency poncho that doubles as a fashion statement. Because who doesn’t want to look like a stylish burrito in the rain? Don’t worry; no matter what, this will be a good time. Your photographer doubles as a comedian. I’m sorry, but we are just kidding.

For this weekend, you will need specific gear, such as a neutral density filter and a tripod. We will send you the links to the best gear and our top picks, and guide you through the purchase process if you don’t already have what you need.

If it rains during the day, we will have the option to lean while photographing:

  • The Grey Towers
  • Explore the Columns Museum
  • Golden Fish Gallery
  • Upper Mill
  • Marie Zimmermann Estate
  • And have classroom photography lessons and discussions.

If it rains at night, we will

  • Have a very long dinner at a great restaurant.
  • Do Trick Photography Under the Awning at the hotel.
  • Have Long Exposure and Milky Way Photography classroom-style lessons.
